Lucknow, 15 August: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached the Vidhan Sabha on Thursday after hoisting the flag at his official residence 5 Kalidas Marg on the occasion of Independence Day. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hoisted the flag at the gate number-one of Vidhan Bhavan. During this, flowers were showered from the helicopter.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi honored the families of the martyrs. Cultural programs were organized on this occasion. Artists from other states including UP, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Sikkim, Jammu Kashmir and Madhya Pradesh gave captivating performances.

Addressing the function organized on Independence Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that our tricolor is a symbol of pride. This year is historic for India. Prime Minister Modi has installed the idol of Shri Ram by doing Pran Pratishtha on 22 January this year. Under his leadership, all the states of the country are developing without any discrimination. Uttar Pradesh, which was once known as a sick state, has emerged as the second economy in the country with 9.2 percent GDP. The state government is working with full commitment. In seven years, more than 56 lakh poor people have been given PM housing. More than 2 crore 65 lakh water connections, free ration is being distributed to 15 crore people. Toilets have been built, Ujjwala gas connection has been given. 100 development blocks are being connected to the mainstream of development.

Yogi Adityanath said that Uttar Pradesh is ready to repeat the resolutions of Prime Minister Modi. Family ID is being provided to every family. Our youth is talented. Special efforts are being made for education and employment for them. It is a pleasure to announce a new scheme on this occasion. 10 lakh youth will get employment under the Chief Minister Yuva Udyam Yojana. New creation of employment for 50 lakh youth will get momentum.

He said that in the seven years of our government, six and a half lakh youth have got government jobs. More than two crore tablets have been distributed to make the youth technically competent. This year more than 20 lakh children have taken admission in council schools.

He said that the concept of one division one university is becoming a reality. Now we are moving towards one district one university. Atal Bihari Medical University is ready in Lucknow. The first sports university of the state is being built in Meerut. It is the contribution of our food-providing farmers that UP is providing more than 20 percent of the food grains in the country. So far 31 irrigation projects have been completed.

Similarly, Chief Minister Yogi counted the achievements of his government while telling about the development of the state.

With Prime Minister Modi’s target of 5 trillion dollars, Uttar Pradesh has set a target of one trillion dollar economy. UP’s exports have increased from 86 thousand crores to two lakh crores. In the last seven years, investment proposals worth more than 16 lakh crores have been implemented. Today our state is known as the Expressway State. With Jewar Airport, UP has become the only state in the country to have five international airports. Thousands of children used to die of encephalitis in many other districts including Purvanchal. Today our government has put a stop to deaths due to this. In 2023, 48 crore tourists have come to Uttar Pradesh. This is the highest in the country.

Chief Minister Yogi said that the state government is continuously working for Maha Kumbh 2025. Special importance was given to cleanliness in the Kumbh of 2019. UP has created history in the last seven years regarding law and order. Today the state is riot free. Mafia rule has ended due to strict action against criminals. People’s perception about Uttar Pradesh has changed. Our government is working on development, good governance, law and order as well as economy. The Chief Minister appealed to the people and said that we have to be cautious of deceit, fraud and selfish people.

Referring to Bengal, he said that we have to identify divisive forces. Prime Minister Modi’s call of ‘Panchpran’ guides us. By fulfilling these resolutions, India has to be made a superpower of the world in 2047. When we will be celebrating the centenary year of independence, there will be a developed India. For this, we all have to join with the resolution of nation first. Today, on the occasion of 78th Independence Day, we all have to take a resolution. The Chief Minister also saluted the martyrs on this occasion.

Before this, he hoisted the flag at the government residence on Kalidas Marg in Lucknow and while addressing the people present, he said that we all know that 77 years ago, this country became independent on this day. That period of slavery for hundreds of years did not come suddenly in a day. After a long struggle, after a long movement, we all got this day.

He said that today is the day for all of us to realize the dreams of the heroes and great heroes of independence. Today’s occasion gives us an opportunity to remember those great sons of Mother India as well as to connect with those resolutions. It is our good fortune that we have entered the third phase of the Amrit Kaal of Independence. In this first decade of independence, the glorious leadership of this country has been found in the form of a safe and prosperous India under the leadership of the world’s most popular politician, the glorious Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

He said that during the last 10 years, we have seen a new India. This new India is not only one India but also the best India. In 10 years, India has made unprecedented progress in every field. We can also participate in the progress of the country. In the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, Prime Minister Modi had reminded every Indian of the ‘Panch Pran’. This ‘Panch Pran’ will fulfill those resolutions of independence.
