Lucknow, April 25: There will be no drinking water crisis in the state even in extreme heat. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has clearly instructed that every rural family should be supplied pure drinking water continuously and uninterruptedly. For this, instructions have also been issued to remain in alert mode for 24 hours. All divisional commissioners will hold meetings at their level and ensure necessary action for water supply. Along with this, a letter has been sent to all the District Magistrates of the state by the government.
The spokesperson of the state government said that the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has geared up to provide continuous pure drinking water to the families living in the rural areas of the state. The objective of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is that there should not be a situation of water shortage or crisis in any rural area of ββthe state.
All the divisional commissioners have been given the responsibility of continuous monitoring and quick solution of drinking water supply by holding meetings at their level. Drinking water will also be available at tehsil, police station, hospital, Anganwadi centers.
Full use of pipe drinking water schemes
The state government has clarified that pure water will be delivered to every house by making maximum use of the pipe drinking water scheme. Where construction work is pending, water supply will be ensured from alternative sources.
People will be made aware through information, education
In order to provide relief to the general public from the heat, instructions have been given to keep pyau or pitchers in public and government premises like tehsil, police station, hospital, Anganwadi center and ensure other proper arrangements for water. People will be made aware through information, education and communication to avoid the effects of heat wave and explain the importance of pure water. Through this, villagers will be motivated for water conservation and clean water use.
The objective of this initiative of the government is to provide uninterrupted and pure drinking water to all the rural families of the state. So that life remains normal even in the scorching heat. Necessary action will be taken to ensure availability of adequate quantity of water in community toilets also.
