Lucknow, July 26: Maulana Yasoob Abbas, General Secretary, All India Shia Personal Law Board said that the government should think one more time before implementing the Population Control Act in the state. No one should be hurt by the law.
In the meeting of the All India Shia Personal Law Board in Sultan-ul-Madaris, Maulana Yasoob Abbas said that the laws or statements that hurt religious sentiments are absolutely wrong.
He also called Wasim Rizvi’s statement on the Quran in the past baseless. The Board strongly condemns such statements. Similarly, the government should leave concern about making laws and express concern on promoting education.
He said that some people are conspiring to defame Islam. These people are spreading things like conversion against Islam. Some people say that people are being converted to Islam by converting which is absolutely wrong. They do not know that a person who accepts Islam on his own is a Muslim.
He stressed that he demands from the present government to take action against those who defame Islam and implicate people by making fake cases of conversion. Relief should be given to those who have been implicated till now in the name of conversion.
