Mahakumbh Nagar, 02 February: Tight security arrangements have been put in place to ensure the safe completion of Prayagraj Mahakumbh ‘Basant Panchami Amrit Snan’ on February 3.
Police Commissioner Prayagraj Tarun Gaba and Divisional Commissioner Prayagraj Vijay Vishwas Pant reached the ICCC Center located at the Mela Authority and gave strict instructions to keep monitoring continuously through CCTV.
It is worth mentioning a rapid rise in the number of devotees was witnessed on Sunday for the Basant Panchami snan.
Regarding the arrival of devotees, Police Commissioner Prayagraj and Divisional Commissioner Prayagraj reached the ICCC Center of the Mela Authority and from there both the officers saw the security of the fair area through CCTV cameras in all the areas of the fair area and gave strict instructions that wherever the crowd gathers, immediately inform the police force of that area by phone and give instructions to continuously move the crowd of devotees forward.
Orders were given by the district administration that the devotees should be continuously sent to take sacred bath at all the ghats built on the banks of holy Ganga and Yamuna and the work of moving them ahead with caution should continue after the sacred bath. Intensive testing of emergency services, deployment of security forces and crowd control system was done. Devotees should not face any kind of inconvenience.
Also, instructions were given to maintain smooth traffic system in the fair area, security measures at bathing ghats, and medical and emergency services.
Security arrangements have been increased at all ghats including Sangam Nose, Bighaat for Basant Panchami bathing festival. Heavy police force, RAF, ATS, STF, commandos have been deployed. Apart from this, secret security agencies have also been activated.
Strict monitoring on those who spread rumors and create disturbance in the fair
On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi, the activity of secret agencies has beefed up to keep a close watch on those who reach with the intention of spreading rumors and creating disturbance in the fair. Police personnel have been deployed among the devotees in plain clothes. Along with this, continuous monitoring is also being done on social media.
Also as per the orders of the Yogi, the main intersections, diversion and barricading points of the city area were inspected and necessary guidelines have been given for smooth and safe traffic system of the devotees. During this, Assistant Police Commissioner Jhunsi and other police officers and employees were present.
