Lucknow, September 10: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed appointment letters to 647 forest guards, wildlife guards and 41 junior engineers selected from the UP Subordinate Services Selection Commission during a program organized at Lok Bhavan here on Tuesday.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that those who had deceived the youth before 2017 are the ones who are spreading false propaganda today. The commissions were made a den of loot. Recruitments were done through backdoor. The governments had neither policy nor rules… That is why today the gang is troubled. So it is natural for the gang leader to be troubled.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that today climate change is a burning issue for the country and the world . Today humanity is facing a crisis. Untimely excessive rain, hail, flood, drought cause damage. Excess should be avoided everywhere… Excess of everything is not good. If these wildlife protectors understand their responsibility, it will be easy to deal with this crisis.

He said that earlier it used to take many years to get an appointment letter, but today, after recruitment, the appointment letter is being received within 6 months to 1 year. You would not have had to make any recommendation or transaction in this recruitment process. This is what the government also expects from you. If the recruitment has been done with integrity, then you should also work honestly.

Chief Minister said that today plastic has become fatal for the environment. If you ever go to the mountains, forests, you will find forests burning. If forests burn, its ill effects will also be visible. Landslides will occur. 7 and a half years ago, we had pledged to increase forest cover. For this, we run tree plantation programs every year. This has also earned us praise at many international levels .

Yogi said that today engineers are also getting appointment letters for the Pollution Control Board. Prime Minister Modi also started Namami Gange Abhiyan to make Ganga uninterrupted and clean. There is a need to free the rivers from pollution. This will help us save both nature and environment. Wildlife protectors are also being appointed today. We often get to see and hear about wildlife conflicts. Even a single life is sad for us. If there is waterlogging in the command area of any wildlife, it will run towards the population, in the Terai region, both forest and agriculture are adjacent to each other. If the forest gets flooded, the wildlife will take shelter in the nearby sugarcane fields. In this situation, no one can save the wildlife.

If the farmer is alone in the field, then the wildlife will be violent. The border areas of forest and fields

need electric fencing. We will also have to be aware first. Then we

can also tell the villagers about the prevention from this. The forest department is also given money for this work.

The Chief Minister said that training is required in this work. No animal is violent. This happens when someone encroaches on each other’s area. We will have to provide training for this at the local level. The life cycle of wildlife also goes hand in hand with humans.

Uttar Pradesh is the first state to be recognized under disaster for the loss of life due to human-wildlife conflict and an amount of Rs 5 lakh is given for this. Due to action taken against illegal mining, the forest cover has increased today. Wildlife has increased.
