New Delhi, 03 October: The Central Government has imposed fresh ban on two rebel groups of Tripura, National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF). The ban will be for the next 5 years from tomorrow.
The Union Home Ministry issued a notification on Tuesday saying that both these organizations are a threat to the unity and integrity of the country. Their activities are anti-national. Due to which they are declared a banned organization.
The Home Ministry said that it has imposed fresh sanctions for their violent and destructive activities, whose aim is to establish an independent nation. The authority of the government is being weakened by their actions. These organizations are spreading terror and violence among the people to achieve their objectives.
The Home Ministry said that it was found that these organizations, in collaboration with other armed separatist organizations of Tripura, were trying to establish a separate nation by separating Tripura from India through armed struggle and instigating the local people of Tripura for such secession. Are working.
In such a situation, the Central Government is of the view that NLFT and ATTF have been indulging in insurgent and violent activities to achieve their goals and thus undermining the authority of the government and spreading fear and terror among the people.
Their actions are harmful to the sovereignty and integrity of India. These organizations have been killing civilians and police and security forces personnel. They have been involved in extorting money from the public including businessmen and traders in Tripura.
The Home Ministry said that the Central Government is also of the view that the above mentioned activities of NLFT and ATTF are prejudicial to the sovereignty and integrity of India. This is an illegal gathering. These organizations are engaged in setting up and maintaining camps in neighboring countries.
The Central Government is also of the opinion that if the illegal activities of NLFT and ATTF are not immediately banned and controlled, then these organizations will continue to cause harm to the country.
Therefore, the Central Government hereby declares the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) with all its factions, wings and front organizations and the All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) with all its factions, wings and front organizations as anti-Vishwavidhu Sangam.
