Two robbers held after police encounter in Lucknow

Lucknow, 04 December: Two miscreants who were absconding in the case of looting purse from Inspector’s daughter on November 29 in Vikas Nagar police station area, had an encounter with police on Tuesday night. Both the accused are real brothers.

ADCP Jitendra Dubey said that police teams were searching for the absconding robbers in the purse loot case. Their location was cordoned off on Tuesday night and both the miscreants were arrested from different places.

Dubey further informed that during police interrogation, the accused told their names as Snehil Srivastava, Apurv Srivastava living in Talkatora police station area and that both are real brothers. On their information, the police took them to a place to recover the looted goods in the night itself. A miscreant fired from a pistol hidden among the goods. The police fired back in self-defense. Both the miscreants have been arrested. The looted goods and the bike with which the loot was committed have also been recovered. The miscreants have suffered minor injuries.
