Udaipur Hindu beheading: All 4 accused sent to NIA custody for 10 days, thrashed by angry mob

Jaipur, 2 July: The Special NIA Court has handed over the four accused in Udaipur’s Kanhaiya Lal murder case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in police custody till July 12.

The NIA had sought 14-day remand in the case. While bringing the accused Ghaus Mohammad and Riyaz of along with other accused Mohsin and Asif out of the courtroom, lawyers beat up the accused and also threw bottles at them.

Meanwhile, four accused were produced by the NIA on Saturday at around 1.30 pm in a special court amid heavy police security. Along with police from across the city, top officials also reached the court.

Meanwhile, hundreds of lawyers and public gathered outside the court premises have attacked the four accused and asked the police to encounter the accused.

In view of the seriousness of the matter, presiding officer of the court ordered eviction of media persons, including other lawyers, from the courtroom and asked only the people associated with the case to be present.

The NIA submitted that detailed interrogation of the accused has to be done and their international connections have to be questioned in the case.

Apart from this, information about the people involved is also to be investigated. Therefore, condemned for the accused to be handed over to police custody for fourteen days was made. Court has sent the accused to police custody till July 12.
