Unfortunate: UP STF Inspector Sunil Kumar, badly injured during Shamli encounter, breathes his last in Gurugram

Gurugram, January 22: Inspector Sunil Kumar, posted in Meerut unit of the Special Task Force (STF), who was injured during an encounter with criminals in Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh, died at Medanta Medicity on Wednesday. He was admitted in an injured condition on Monday.

UP STF’s Meerut team had an encounter with the criminals of Mustafa Kagga gang in Jhinjhana area of โ€‹โ€‹Shamli two days ago on Monday night at around 2:30 am during the siege of the criminals of Mustafa Kagga gang. In the encounter, the gang’s one lakh reward criminal Arshad, resident of Thana Gangoh district Saharanpur and his three companions Manjeet, Satish and Manveer were killed.

In this encounter, STF Inspector Sunil Kumar was also seriously injured in the firing of the criminals. He was first taken to a private hospital in Karnal for better treatment, from where the doctors referred him to Medanta Medicity in Gurugram. Despite the tireless efforts of the doctors, he could not be saved and he breathed his last today.

According to the Medanta Hospital management, Inspector Sunil Kumar was operated on Tuesday evening. During this, three bullets penetrated his body were removed but his liver had burst. Due to which his condition kept deteriorating and today he breathed his last.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli Police Superintendent Ramsevak Gautam said that after the information of the death of Inspector Sunil Kumar who was injured in an encounter with miscreants, a team has been sent to Gurugram. His body is being brought.
