Union Home Minister Amit Shah reaches Maha Kumbh, takes sacred bath in Sangam with CM Yogi and saints

Mahakumbh Nagar, 27 January: The Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah took a dip of faith in Sangam with saints on Monday. Union Home Minister reached Prayagraj on Monday at 11:25 am. He was warmly welcomed at the airport by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak,

Yogi Cabinet ministers and other dignitaries before taking a holy bath at Sangam Nose, he met religious leaders. After this, he took a holy dip with the saints. After bathing in Sangam, the Home Minister visited and worshipped ‘Akshayavat’.

The Union Home Minister was accompanied by Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giri Maharaj of Juna Akhara, Patron of Juna Akhara Harigiri Maharaj, President of All India Akhara Parishad and President of Mansa Devi Trust Haridwar Srimahant Ravindra Puri Maharaj, Peethadheeshwar Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri of Niranjani Akhara, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev and other religious leaders and saints.

Chief Minister Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya also took a dip of faith with the Home Minister. After bathing, Amit Shah bowed down to Lord Surya by offering Arghya five times. Amit Shah also visited and worshipped Akshayvat after bathing.

After bathing in Sangam, Amit Shah will reach Juna Akhara. There he will meet the President of Akhara Parishad and other saints. He will discuss with the saints about the organization of Maha Kumbh and the role of religion in society. He will also have a traditional meal with the saints.

After this, Amit Shah will have a special meeting with Guru Sharananand and Govind Giri Maharaj. In this meeting, there will be an in-depth discussion on religion, society and providing spiritual guidance to the younger generation. After this, he will meet the Shankaracharyas of Shringeri, Puri and Dwarka Peeth. This dialogue between the government and the saint community will play an important role in making the Maha Kumbh successful and exemplary. The Home Minister will leave for Delhi at 6:40 pm.
