Lucknow, December 31: On the eve of the New Year, 28 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers are being promoted and 10 Indian Police Service officers are being given selection grades.
In this series, orders have been issued by the government for promotion of Additional Director General of Police to Director General of Police, Inspector General of Police to Additional Director General of Police, Deputy Inspector General of Police to Inspector General of Police, Superintendents of Police to Deputy Inspector General of Police and Superintendents of Police on the selection grade pay scale.
Giving this information on Friday, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Awanish Kumar Awasthi said that one of the promoted officers of Indian Police Service, Additional Director General of Police, Avinash Chandra has been appointed as Director General of Police and four Inspector General of Police Naveen Arora, Mohit Agarwal, Gajendra Kumar Goswami respectively and Bhajani Ram Meena has been made Additional Director General of Police.
Apart from this, three DIGs of Police Preetinder Singh, Luv Kumar and Chandra Prakash II have been promoted to the post of Inspector General of Police.
Awasthi also informed that Bharti Singh, Vipin Kumar Mishra, Madhav Prasad Verma (Senior), Sabharaj, Swami Prasad, Soumitra Yadav and Ramesh have been promoted to the post of Selection Grade/Deputy Inspector General of Police among 07 Superintendents of Police.
He also told that 13 Superintendents of Police Suresh Rao Anand Kulkarni, Amit Verma, N. Kolanchi, Sarvesh Kumar Rana, Shripati Mishra, Ajay Kumar Singh, Jugul Kishar, Vinod Kumar Mishra, Balendu Bhushan Singh, Devendra Pratap Narayan Pandey, Sudhir Kumar Singh, Arvind Bhushan Pandey and Rajiv Malhotra were promoted to the post of Deputy Inspector General of Police.
He informed that 10 Superintendents of Police Keshav Kumar Chaudhary, Ajay Kumar Sahni, Pawan Kumar, Anees Ahmed Ansari, Akhilesh Kumar Chaurasia, Shivasimpi Channapa, Dinesh Kumar P, Muniraj G0, Bablu Kumar and Santosh Kumar Singh were promoted on the pay scale of selection grade.
He said that separate orders would be issued regarding the posting of all promoted Indian Police Service officers.
