LUCKNOW, 30 APRIL: With the consent of all religious leaders, the work of removing additional loudspeakers from religious places is underway across Uttar Pradesh. So far 45,773 loudspeakers have been taken down from various religious sites in the state by police and administration officials.
At the same time, according to the standard, the sound of 58,861 loudspeakers has been reduced.
Uttar Pradesh Police Department’s Additional Director General (ADG) L&O Prashant Kumar has informed on Saturday that the orders of the state government are being strictly followed. After the consent of the gurus of all religions, the work of removing additional loudspeakers from religious places is being done. Some people have even taken off the loudspeaker themselves.
It may be noted that the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the State Home Department, Awanish Awasthi, while issuing the Government Order (GO), had directed all the police stations to remove illegal and loud loudspeakers by running a special campaign.
The action taken report has to be sent to the government by April 30. And for not doing so, action will be taken against the concerned station in-charge. After this, the police and the district administration started taking down the loudspeaker from April 26.
