Lucknow, 23 March: Due to rising of Covid-19 cases across the state, the challenge of health department has increased once again. In the last twenty four hours, the number of active cases has jumped with the addition of 638 fresh cases.
At the same time, BJP MLA from Lucknow North region Neeraj Bora has also tested Corona positive. He himself informed about it on Tuesday.
The MLA said that he has contracted to Coronavirus revealed in the sample test report. Therefore, any people who have come in contact with me in the past get their tests done.
Meanwhile, Neeraj Bora is the first honourable person to have been infected during the second wave of Corona. Neeraj Bora is himself a doctor. He has a large medical center in the capital called Seva Hospital.
Meanwhile, the graph of infection has been continuously increasing in the state for the last few days.
Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad informed that 638 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the state in the last twenty four hours. Due to this the number of active cases has also gone up. There are now 3,844 active cases across the state. 1, 19,470 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. At the same time, a total of 3, 38, 35,134 samples have been tested.
He informed that so far 5, 96,101 people have been recovered from Covid-19 in the state. He said that at present, cases of infection are increasing in many states, due to which special precautions are required in the state. People wash their hands frequently with soap and water, also wear mask.
Prasad informed that all the medical colleges, district hospitals, community health centers (CHC) of the state are carrying out vaccination drive for six days a week from Monday to Saturday whereas primary health center from Monday, Thursday and Friday.
Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health said that there is sufficient supply of vaccine in the state. As it is demanded from the Government of India, on that basis it is made available here.
