Lucknow, October 13: The Uttar Pradesh Police and district administrations are continuously taking action by seizing the assets earned by the chiefs and members of the organised-gangs in the state by the means of crimes.
From January 1 to September 2020, the district administration has confiscated properties worth Rs 574 crore 71 lakh 66 thousand 511 under the Gangster Act.
Additional Director General (ADG) Law &Order Prashant Kumar informed that action is being taken against the culprits by conducting a special operation.
โFrom January 1, 2020 to September 30, 2020, police have registered 3239 FIRs under the Gangster Act. 10620 accused have been arrested. Along with this, action has been taken in 688 cases under the 14 (1) Gangster Act,โ ADG L&O apprised.
According to ADG, this campaign will continue. All police captains have been instructed to follow it strictly. No criminal will be spared. Rigorous action against them will be implemented.
