Lucknow, 26 Sept: The UP ATS apprehended an operative from Lucknow who was spying on the Indian Army for the ISI. Shailesh Kumar, also known as Shailendra Singh Chauhan, supplied sensitive Indian Army secrets to ISI using WhatsApp and Facebook.

According to UP ATS, there was intelligence that some Indians were being enticed by ISI to collect classified information on the Indian Army and its activities.

According to the investigation, a person called Shailesh Kumar transmitted sensitive Indian Army material with the Pakistani intelligence organization ISI over WhatsApp and Facebook.

Accused Shailesh had served as a temporary laborer in the Indian Army in Arunachal Pradesh for around eight months, and as a result, he knew a lot about the army. He is not actively serving in the army, despite the fact that he has portrayed himself as such on his Facebook profile.

According to UPATS, Shailesh first made contact with a Facebook ID called Harleen Kaur. Preeti, another ISI handler, then approached him. He also received Rs 2000 in phone pay in April in exchange for Army images and videos.

Following this, he continued to provide crucial information on the army to ISI handlers Preeti and Harleen Kaur, and in return, continuously minted whopping amount of money. ISI employs this intelligence against India in order to adversely impact Indian democracy and destabilize the nation.
