Lucknow, March 8: Saharanpur team of Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) with the help of Moradabad police arrested suspected terrorist Ulfat Hussain with a bounty of 25 thousand from the state of Jammu Kashmir. The arrested suspected terrorist is associated with Hizbul Mujahideen organization.

Earlier he was arrested with AK-56 in Moradabad, but absconded after getting bail in the year 2007.
ATS issued a press release on Saturday and said that suspected terrorist Ulfat Hussain alias Mohammad Saif-ul-Islam alias Afzal alias Parvez alias Hussain Malik is a resident of village Fazalabad of Poonch in Jammu Kashmir. Ulfat Hussain received training in Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POK) from 1999 to 2000. He came to Moradabad after training from Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and was trying to carry out some major incident.
As per the press note, ATS had received information that Ulfat Hussain was involved in anti-national activities in Moradabad district. ATS arrested him from Katghar police station area of โโMoradabad on 9 July 2001. One AK-47 and one AK-56, two pistols 30 bore, 12 hand grenades and 39 timers, 50 detonators, 37 batteries, 29 kg explosive material, 560 live cartridges and eight magazines were recovered from him. He was released from jail on bail in this case in 2007. After that he did not appear in the court on any date.
The court issued an arrest warrant again, but instead of getting caught by the police, he absconded. Since then he was absconding. A reward of Rs 25,000 was announced for his arrest.
