UP civic polls: SP, BJP, BSP to show strength on last day of campaigning for May 4 voting

Lucknow, 02 May: Tuesday is the last day of campaigning for the first phase of urban body elections in Uttar Pradesh. The campaigning will end in the evening. On the last day of the election campaign, all the political parties including Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Samajwadi Party (SP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Congress have given their full strength.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BJP state president Bhupendra Singh Chowdhary will address public meetings organized in favor of party candidates in several districts of the state. There is a road show of Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav. He will also do public relations.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will address public meetings in Prayagraj, Jhansi and Lucknow on Tuesday in support of BJP candidates. Chief Minister will blow conch shells while addressing public meetings at Press Ground, Lukerganj, Prayagraj and at 1:20 pm at Craft Mela Ground, Jhansi. In the evening, a public meeting will be held in support of Sushma Kharkwal at Telibagh Square in Lucknow.

BJP state president Bhupendra Singh Chowdhary will attend the worker’s convention in Rampur. The state president will address the worker’s conference at Shehnai Mandap, Vilaspur Road, Milak, Rampur at 11 am and Purani Galla Mandi, Shivbagh, Vilaspur, Rampur at 12:30 pm. The State BJP President will hold consultations with senior leaders, party officials and workers in the meeting of the Election Steering Committee of Municipal Council Rampur at BJP District Office Rampur at 2:45 pm.

State Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya will address public meetings in Prayagraj, Shravasti and Gonda on Tuesday. State Minister of State (Independent Charge) Kapil Dev Aggarwal will participate in the bike rally organized in Saharanpur on Tuesday. It is noteworthy that the first phase of polling will be held on May 4. The campaigning will end on Tuesday evening itself.
