UP cop’s daughter commits suicide in Varanasi

Varanasi, 25 Oct: A BAMS student living in a rented house in Bataubir locality of Ramnagar police station area committed suicide by hanging herself, the police said.

The Police said, as soon as the information was received on Wednesday, the police reached the spot and during investigation found a suicide note near the dead body. After informing the family about the incident, the police sent the body for post-mortem.

Arunima Yadav (24), daughter of head constable Shriprakash Yadav of police department, resident of Semri Jamalpur police station area of Ghosi police station area of Mau district, lived on rent in the house of a person named Gopal in Ramnagar Bataubir locality.

Arunima was doing BAMS from Jeevak Paramedical and Nursing College located in Ekauni village of Chandauli.

According to the police, Arunima hanged herself in her room late on Tuesday night. When the door of his room did not open till late in the morning, the landlord called. When there was no response, the landlord informed the police. During investigation, police found a suicide note in Arunima’s room.

In her death letter, the student has written that Mom and Dad, I love you all very much. It was written for Babu (younger brother) to prepare well for IAS. ‘Take care of mom and dad, I am bored with life. That’s why I’m giving up my life. Please forgive me,’ reads the suicide note.

The father of the deceased student, Shriprakash Yadav, is posted at Sandipan Ghat police station in Kaushambi district. As soon as the information was received, he left for Varanasi.
