Noida, June 15: According to authorities, a couple was killed in a strange occurrence in Western Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad district by a single gunshot fired by the husband while holding his wife in a close hug. Anek Pal, the husband, was approximately 40 years old, and Suman Pal, his wife, was around 38 years old.
According to investigators, the couple left four children behind: a daughter and three sons. They both maintained they worked as daily wage workers in Chandigarh and had returned to their hometown of Moradabad.
Sandeep Kumar, Superintendent of Police (Rural Moradabad), stated the event occurred at the couple’s residence in Khanpur village, within the Bilari police station boundaries, on the night of June 13 and 14.
“The husband and wife frequently fought over various issues, according to relatives, acquaintances, and children of the couple. They’d been fighting a lot lately. “Anek Pal prayed at home on the night of June 13 before killing his wife. The same bullet struck Anek Pal in the chest and crossed from behind him. “Both were shot and taken to the hospital, but they did not survive,” Kumar added.
The police stated they had received no complaints from the dead couple’s family, whose clashes had escalated in the previous week after Suman lost a cellphone at a wedding reception.
Ankit Kumar, Police Circle Officer (Bilari region), stated that the firearm used in the incident was a domestic weapon, and that an inquiry is underway to determine how it was obtained.
The officer stated that an investigation was underway to determine whether the spouse was engaging in occult practise previous to the occurrence. When asked about the couple’s four children, Kumar stated, “Right now, the children are at their home in the village.
Their maternal family has requested that they be taken into custody. The issue would be thoroughly investigated, and a judgement would be taken in line with the regulations.”
