UP Court acquits actress Jayaprada in code of conduct violation case

Rampur, 16 October: The MP-MLA court on Wednesday acquitted former MP and actress Jayaprada in the 2019 code of conduct violation case. The former MP has expressed gratitude to the court.

A case was registered against her in Swar police station in the case of code of conduct violation during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. She was accused of inaugurating a road in Noorpur village despite the code of conduct being in force. Its video was also made public.

The hearing of this case went on in the local MP-MLA court. The court on Wednesday acquitted former MP Jayaprada due to lack of evidence. Jayaprada was present in the court during the hearing. After the verdict came in her favor, she thanked the court.
