Lucknow, June 14: An officer with the Uttar Pradesh Education Department was punished for attending an office meeting while wearing only a vest and no shirt.
Vijay Kiran Anand, Director General of Education, took fast action and suspended the official for his poor clothing during the video session.
The event occurred on Tuesday at a review meeting in which Vijay Kiran Anand was discussing the development of departmental projects with officers from several districts. The education officer’s attire during the virtual meeting generated major discomfort among the attendees.
It is unknown which district the officer was assigned to. The education department has opened an investigation into the situation.
