Lucknow, 02 February: Corona vaccination drive is being conducted in a phased manner across the state. The next phase of vaccination will be on February 04 and 05. The first dose of health workers will be completed in these two days.
Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad said on Tuesday that the work of vaccination of frontline workers i.e. first line corona warriors will be started from February 05. Vaccine shots will be given to frontline workers, policemen, Central Paramilitary Force personnel, army personnel, home guards, civil defense and municipal workers, revenue department employees.
Meanwhile, 184 new cases of corona infection have been reported across the state in the last twenty four hours. Meanwhile, 462 patients were discharged when they were fully healthy.
Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health said that now the number of active cases has come down to 5,007 after the graph of infection in the state goes down. Of these, 1,341 are in home isolation. At the same time, 420 patients are undergoing treatment in private hospitals.
He informed that since the onset of virus transmission in the state, a total of 5, 86,967 persons have been fully recovered after treatment. In the state, a total of 8,668 people have died due to infection since March.
Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health said that 1, 02,326 corona samples were tested in the state yesterday. At the same time, a total of 2, 80, 92,122 samples have been tested in the state.
He informed that E Sanjeevani portal are constantly using it by the people. Yesterday, 5,116 people in the state received counselling from doctors sitting at home through e-Sanjeevani portal. So far, a total of 4, 65,765 people in the state have received medical consultation through e-Sanjeevani portal.
He informed that the work of surveillance is going on continuously in the state. A population of 15,25,99,402 of 3,14,16,908 households has been surveyed through 5,10,334 team days in 1,84,623 areas through surveillance team.
According to the Health Department’s Action Plan, vaccination work of health workers and frontline workers will be organized in such a way that both their doses are completed by 25 March. After this, vaccination work of people above 50 years of age will be started. In this regard, detailed guidelines will be obtained from the Government of India and work will be done accordingly.
