Lucknow, 04 February: Vaccination drive against global pandemic Covid-19 is being conducted in a phased manner across the state.
In this episode, on Thursday, both types of vaccines are being provided to health workers in all the districts.
As of 3:00 pm, vaccine doses have been given to 79,047 health workers. In this way, more than 5.42 lakh health workers have been given the first dose of vaccine so far and Uttar Pradesh has become the first state in the country to vaccinate more than five lakh health workers.
Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad said on Thursday that vaccination of health workers will continue on Friday. With this, the first dose of vaccine will be started to be given to frontline workers from tomorrow. Among the front line personnel, the vaccine will be given to policemen in frontline workers, Central Paramilitary Force personnel, army personnel, home guards, civil defense and municipal workers, employees of the revenue department.
He informed that the corona vaccination of ordinary citizens has also remained the priority in the state. First, people over 50 years of age will be vaccinated. This vaccination will be initiated after the completion of the immunization program for health workers and frontline workers.

He informed that the residents of E Sanjeevani portal are constantly using it. Yesterday, 4,830 people in the state received counseling from doctors sitting at home through e-Sanjeevani portal. So far, a total of 4, 75,879 people have received medical consultation through the e-Sanjeevani portal.
He informed that the work of surveillance is going on continuously in the state. A population of 15,26,37,514 of 3,14,26,232 households has been surveyed through 5,10,551 team days in 1,84,733 areas through surveillance team.
