Kasganj, 28 Aug: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited flood-affected areas in the state to take stock of the situation.
Speaking on the preparations made to deal with the disaster, he said, “The administration has been instructed to provide remuneration to families affected by the floods, those whose homes have been destroyed under PM Awas or CM Awas Yojana..”
In Kasganj, CM Yogi Adityanath said that the government is with him in the flood disaster. Help is being given to every victim. Compensation will be given soon after assessing the damage to the crops. He has instructed the district administration to prepare a report on damage to crops and send it to the government.
CM Yogi Adityanath conducted an aerial survey of flood affected areas in the district by helicopter.
In Barauna village also, he first took stock of the situation of Ganga’s stream and erosion from the helicopter itself. At 12:25 pm, the CM’s helicopter started hovering over Barauna. After aerial survey, his helicopter landed on the helipad. Where DM Harshita Mathur, SP Saurabh Dixit accompanied him. After this he reached Barauna village by car.
He inspected the embankment built on the western side of the village for five minutes. After this he reached the pandal built near the dam. Here he provided kits of food relief material to the erosion victims of Barauna.
CM Yogi asked the DM about the flood affected area of the district. He also talked for some time with the MPs and MLAs who reached the spot. After this he directly came on the stage.
CM said that after the increase in the water level of Yamuna river in the first cycle, many areas of the state were flooded. Now in the second round due to excess rains in Uttarakhand, due to increase in water level in river Ganga, flood disaster has occurred in districts like Kasganj, Farrukhabad, Shahjahanpur, Kannauj etc.
CM Yogi instructed to prepare a proposal to solve the problem of erosion in Barauna.
CM said that the current of Ganga should be changed. The stream of Ganga could not go towards human habitation. He said that a proposal for a permanent solution should be prepared to stop erosion and this work should be done from the month of November and December.
He informed that food kits are being distributed to the flood victims in the state. 45900 kits of dry ration have been distributed in the state. Apart from this, fodder has also been made available to the crops. NDRF and SDRF teams are deployed in the flood affected areas. Apart from this, flood units of PAC have also been deployed in different areas.
Present in the CM’s program were MP Rajveer Singh, In-charge Minister Sandeep Singh, Legislative Council Member Rajnikant Maheshwari, Sadar MLA Devendra Rajput, Amanpur MLA Hariom Verma, Former MLA Mamtesh Shakya, BJP District President KP Singh Solanki, District Panchayat President Ratnesh Kashyap, BJP leaders Sunil Varshney, Bobby Kashyap, Naval Kulshrestha, Gaurishankar Sharma Kaushal Sahu were present.
