Lucknow, 26 September: Now more than one and a half lakh corona screening is being done in the state every day, effectively leading the fight against deadly virus.
According to the Additional Chief Secretary Home Awanish Kumar Awasthi, the state will achieve the target of one crore swab testing under the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath by September 30.
On this day, the Chief Minister will inaugurate the new cancer hospital which has been completed in the capital.
He informed that there has been a significant decrease in the rate of corona’s positive cases in the last one week in the state. At the same time, due to the rapid recovery of Covid patients in the state, the number of containment zones has been reduced further.
โThe risk zone will now be redefined in the state. Now controlling this will be done by creating a micro containment zone. People from all the houses coming to these areas will be checked by conducting strong monitoring. Contact tracing will be strengthened,โ he said.
Additional Chief Secretary Home Awanish Awasthi informed that at present 75,27,628 people from 13,53,075 houses have been identified under 1,195 of 18,510 risk areas of the state. The number of positive cases in these risk zones is 48,997. The number of institutional quarantined people is 32,383.
โWith this, 4, 34,341 people have been registered under Section-188 by lodging FIRs against 2, 30,165. So far 74,238 vehicles have been seized in intensive checking of 1, 64, 24,369 vehicles in the state. Fine of Rs 85, 58, 58,820 was recovered during the checking operation. A total of 4, 39,335 vehicle permits have been issued for essential services,โ Awasthi told.
447 people have been arrested, registering 926 FIRs against 1,252 black marketing and hoarding people.
Milk has been distributed through 15,634 door step delivery milk booth-man against the estimated population of 91, 61,660 of hotspot settlements in the state. A total of 19,370 vehicles have been installed for door step delivery of fruits, vegetables etc. Provision stores with door step delivery number 17,176. The number of deliveries through the provision store is 16,716.
There are a total of 03 popular community kitchens in hotspot areas. In these settlements, food grains have been distributed on 14, 08,769 ration cards.
A total of 339.05 crore has been paid to 33.90 lakh people on a one-thousand basis to 18.25 lakh workers associated with construction works, 8.91 lakh workers in urban areas and 6.74 lakh destitute people in rural areas. Second installment has also been paid to 17.14 lakh workers associated with construction works.
He informed that a total of 97 units including 5 making personal protective equipment and mask making are operational in the state. 1127 flour mills, 503 oil mills and 357 pulses mills are being operated in the state.
Along with this, according to the information given by Roadways, 9, 98,000 people travelled through 7,080 buses on Friday. At the same time 1,906 people travelled by airplane and 73,000 people travelled through 205 trains.
