UP govt reshuffles 11 IPS officers, Lucknow gets new Police Commissioner

Lucknow, 22 June: The Uttar Pradesh government has reshuffled 11 Indian Police Service personnel, including the Lucknow and Prayagraj police commissioners, according to authorities on Saturday.

Amarendra Kumar Sengar, an IPS officer, has been appointed Lucknow’s next police commissioner. He has taken over for S B Shiradkar, who has been appointed assistant director general of police (ADG) for the Lucknow Zone. Sengar used to be the ADG for the Lucknow Zone. Prem Chand Meena, ADG Bareilly Zone, has been promoted as ADG/MD of the Police Housing Corporation. Ramit Sharma, the Prayagraj Police Commissioner, will take over for him. Vinod Kumar Singh has been named ADG Cyber Crime, while Prakash D, ADG/MD Police Housing Corporation, has been appointed ADG Railway.

ADG Railways Jai Narayan Singh has been transferred to PTC Sitapur. ADG Special Security L V Antony Dev Kumar has been appointed ADG, CBCID. ADG Security Raghuveer Lal has been assigned additional responsibilities as ADG Special Security Force in addition to his existing position.

ADG, CBCID K Satyanarayan has been promoted to ADG, Traffic and Road Security, while BD Palson, who was formerly ADG Traffic, has been promoted to ADG, Training.
