Badaun, June 4: According to the state’s secondary education minister, the state government is taking aggressive measures against “love jihad” and will continue to do so.
Gulab Devi responded to reporters at an event on the Modi government’s many public welfare programs, saying, “As far as ‘love jihad’ is concerned, incidents of luring girls and exploiting them have come to the government’s attention. In these cases, the government takes firm measures and will continue to do so.”
“The government is taking steps to prevent this,” she continued. ?The authorities would take harsh measures if somebody deceives a female while wearing a ‘kalava’ or a ‘janeu,? she added.
