Lucknow, 01 April: The state government spokesperson and cabinet minister Siddharth Nath Singh has put the Punjab government and its police in the dock over the ambulance used while presenting mafiso-turns-politician Mukhtar Ansari of Uttar Pradesh in the Mohali court.

He claimed on Thursday that the ambulance sent to Punjab for Mukhtar Ansari was luxurious and bullet proof. The Uttar Pradesh government will get it investigated and action will also be taken.

Siddharth Nath Singh said that the Punjab government and the police there would have to answer it. After all, how a person who is kept in jail is using a private luxury bulletproof ambulance. Under which type of rule is he given this facility.

Singh said that the way the Congress government of Punjab is patronizing a mafia don; it has been seen as living proof. He said that the SP, Congress government brought up Mukhtar Ansari, the result of which is that he has become the biggest gangster today.

Regarding registration of ambulance from Barabanki district, he said that after all how a private ambulance became such a luxury and how it was registered, it should have been investigated at the same time in the SP government. However, he did not do so because then the owner was Mukhtar Ansari. He was running the SP government at that time. The cabinet minister said that we will get the whole matter investigated and will not leave anyone out.

It is worth mentioning that Bahubali MLA Mukhtar Ansari was brought to Mohali Court on Wednesday from the Ambulance UP 41 AT 7171, Ropar Jail in Punjab. The vehicle is registered in the name of a private hospital in Barabanki. However, the hospital does not exist in the district nor is it Dr Alka Rai, whose name is registered on the ambulance RC.

Apart from this, according to the Barabanki ARTO, the registration of the concerned ambulance has ended in the year 2015 itself. Apart from this, the fitness of the ambulance has also expired in the year 2017 itself whereas on January 20, 2020, a notice was sent for renewal of this vehicle. After which no response was given, now the action of seizing the carriage was to be taken. After Mukhtar Ansari now uses an ambulance of this number during his appearance, the matter is in the news.
