UP IAS officer to be honored with the Prime Minister’s Award

Lucknow, January 15: Anurag Srivastava, Additional Chief Secretary, Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department, has been selected for the Prime Minister Award for Excellence in Public Administration, 2023 for innovative use of solar power in the projects of Jal Jeevan Mission.

He will be honored by the Central Government in the category of Innovation State. He is a 1992 batch IAS officer.

Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh said that he will be honored with this award in a program to be held in New Delhi on April 10.

He said that the use of solar technology has reduced the cost of water supply in villages by more than 50 percent. 12.50 lakh people have been given training to run solar projects. The villagers who get training will operate and protect these projects.
