Udaipur, August 17: Amidst the tension arising after the incident of a classmate attacking a class 10 student with a knife, the administration got the bulldozer run on the house of the accused student on the very next day. The accused student and his family lived in a rented house. The landlord also protested against the action of the administration, but his voice was not heard.
It is note worthy that on August 16, Friday, in Udaipur, a class 10 student of Bhatiani Chowhatta Government Higher Secondary School stabbed his classmate. Due to the injured student and the accused student belonging to different communities, a situation of tension arose in the city.
The cobbler community and Hindu organizations expressed anger and closed the markets on Friday. There was arson at some places and vandalism at other places. Seeing the situation deteriorating, internet services were shut down in Udaipur city area from Friday evening by imposing prohibitory orders Section 163.
Meanwhile, on Friday evening itself, the police took the accused student and his father Salim Sheikh into custody. During the demonstration, the angry society had demanded bulldozer action on the house of the accused student.
Udaipur Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena also gave a statement in favor of bulldozer action. After this, on the instructions of the government, the Forest Department gave a notice to vacate this house built in an illegal settlement on its land. This notice was for 72 hours, but in view of the public outrage, a bulldozer was run on the house of the accused on Saturday itself.
During the bulldozer action, ADM City Rajiv Dwivedi, including Forest Department, Municipal Corporation, UDA, Police officials and a heavy police force were present. Some people also tried to oppose the action, but the police force drove them away.
It was told that the accused student and his family lived on rent in the house of a person named Rashid near Patel Circle. The house owner Rashid said that what was his fault in this. On the other hand, no official statement came from the administration, but official sources said that this entire colony is built on the land of the forest department.
Earlier, despite the internet services being shut down, a large number of people from the cobbler community and Hindu organizations gathered at Maharana Bhupal Hospital around 10 am. There they wanted to know the real condition of the injured student. Meanwhile, some youths again went out to close the market. In Hathipol area, the police used mild force to drive them away, but as soon as the news of the youth going out spread, the markets of Ghantaghar, Sarafa Bazaar, Sindhi Bazaar, Mukherjee Chowk etc. areas closed automatically. After some time, the administration reopened the markets after persuasion.
Here, the condition of the injured student still remains critical. Experts have been called from Jaipur by charter plane. The condition of the injured student is likely to become clear by evening. At present, the condition of the student is being described as stable by the administration.
