UP: Now get your learning DL at doorstep in UP

Lucknow, 06 January: From Thursday, the Transport Department implemented a new system of making online learning driving license (DL) sitting at home in the entire state including the capital Lucknow.

Applicants can now make Learning DL sitting at home by applying online on Sarathi Portal. With the implementation of the new system, applicants will not have to make rounds of RTO and ARTO.

Transport Commissioner Dheeraj Sahu, after the success of the pilot project of making online learning driving license in Barabanki, has now implemented the new system in the entire state including Lucknow.

Now applicants can apply for Learning Driving License by linking their Aadhaar on the Sarathi Portal. Applicants will have to pay online fee for two wheelers and four wheelers. Once the application process is completed, the time slot and OTP for the date of the online test will come on the applicant’s mobile.

However, it is advised to upload the latest photo only on the form to avoid any disturbance in the live tally of the photograph of the applicant during the test.

Lucknow’s Assistant Divisional Transport Officer (Administration) Akhilesh Kumar Dwivedi told that 15 questions related to the traffic system will be asked to the applicant in the online test. Out of these, only the applicants who give correct answers to at least 09 questions will pass. Its message will come immediately after the test. After this, the pass applicants will be able to download the Learning Driving License and take its print out.
