Hamirpur, 28 December: Naib Tehsildar Ashish Gupta alias Yusuf who embraced Islam after marrying a Muslim girl in Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh after becoming Naib Tehsildar from Revenue Inspector.
Meanwhile, the police have arrested the ten people including Naib Tehsildar.
After completing his graduation, he started working as a Revenue Inspector six years ago. After promotion, he was posted in Hamirpur about one and a half years ago. After seven years of service, he fell in love with a Muslim girl so much that he was compelled to change his religion. At present, departmental action has started against them.
Ashish Gupta, resident of Hanumant Bihar, Kanpur city, has done B.Tech. After completing his graduation, he was directly recruited to the post of Revenue Inspector. He was posted as Revenue Inspector in Kanpur Dehat from March 26 2016 to June 30 2022.
Meanwhile, Ashish Gupta passed the departmental examinations for the post of Naib Tehsildar. After passing the examination on March 16 2022, he became Naib Tehsildar. The family members were very happy when he became Naib Tehsildar from Revenue Inspector at the age of thirty-two, but today the family members are saddened by his act.
It is said that after becoming Naib Tehsildar, he was posted from Kanpur Dehat to Hamirpur by the government on July 1 2022. The work of many boards including the Mineral Department was also given. On September 2 this year, he was posted as Naib Tehsildar in Maudaha.
Sources said that not even four months had passed and he fell in love with a Muslim girl.
Sources reveal that Ashish Gupta was dreaming of becoming SDM. This time he had also made up his mind to prepare for the PCS exam, but due to love, things reached such a stage that now his job is in jeopardy.

Naib Tehsildar Gupta is the father of two children. His wife Aarti Gupta lives in Kanpur with two children. Whereas he has got a government accommodation in Maudaha town. During his job, he got deeply entangled in the affair of a Muslim girl.
As per the probe, he had gone to Muslim colony to investigate some dispute and while trying to resolve the dispute, he fell into their trap. His wife Aarti Gupta has filed a case against ten people including her husband for marrying a Muslim girl and changing religion. The police took action on this and arrested many people including Maulala and Naib Tehsildar.
