Lucknow, February 12: The second phase of voting in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections is to be held on Monday, February 14.
In the second phase, votes will be held for 55 assembly seats in nine districts of Western UP. The campaigning for the second phase ended on Saturday evening.
A total of 586 candidates are in the fray in the second phase. Over two crore voters will decide their fate on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission of India (ECI) examined the necessary preparations and arrangements by video conferencing on Saturday to conduct the second phase of polling in a fair, free, transparent and safe manner.
Additional Chief Election Officer Brahmdev Ram Tiwari informed that in the second phase, the voting time for 55 assembly seats in nine districts of the state is scheduled on February 14 from 07:00 am to 06:00 pm.
He said that since 06:00 pm on Saturday for the second phase of elections, the campaigning being done by public representatives has been effectively stopped and this ban will remain in effect till the end of this phase of polling.
Tiwari further told that special arrangements have been made at each polling booth for the convenience of voters and protection from Covid-19. Necessary instructions have been given to the administration to make proper arrangements and necessary arrangements at each polling booth so that voters do not face any kind of trouble.

In the second phase, polling will be held in Saharanpur, Bijnor, Moradabad, Sambhal, Rampur, Amroha, Budaun, Bareilly and Shahjahanpur districts.

Behat, Nakur, Saharanpur Nagar, Saharanpur, Deoband, Rampur Manihanran (SC), Gangoh, Najibabad, Nagina (SC), Badhapur, Dhampur, Nahtaur (SC), Bijnor, Chandpur, Noorpur, Kanth, Thakurdwara, Moradabad Rural, Moradabad Nagar , Kundarki, Bilari, Chandausi (SC), Asmoli, Sambhal, Swar, Chamarva, Bilaspur, Rampur, Milak (SC), Dhanaura (SC), Naugawan Sadat, Amroha, Hasanpur, Gunnaur, Bisauli (SC), Sahaswan, Bilsi, Badaun, Shekhupur, Dataganj, Baheri, Mirganj, Bhojipura, Nawabganj, Faridpur (SC), Bithri Chainpur, Bareilly, Bareilly Cantonment, Amla, Katra, Jalalabad, Tilhar, Puwayan, (SC), Shahjahanpur and Dadraul assembly seats.
