Lucknow, 29 September: Another record has been registered in the name of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s dream project ‘One District, One Product’ (ODOP). For the first time in the world, the Department of Posts has simultaneously issued stamps based on 75 ODOP products.
Earlier this record is only of 32 postage stamps in the world. With this initiative, the branding of ODOP will now be strengthened globally as well as in the country. This will give a new identity to the traditional products of the state. Along with this, artisans will also get benefit.
For the first time in the state, Chief Minister Yogi started ODOP in 2017 to give a new identity to traditional products. Traditional products were selected at the district level and artisans were also provided with loans and financial assistance for value addition.
In this episode, the Department of Posts has also issued 75 ODOP postage stamps today. With this innovative experiment, people will feel proud to have the product of their district in the form of postage stamp. Also, in the districts where these envelopes will be sent, the people of those districts will also have information about the products of the respective district.
Navneet Sehgal, Additional Chief Secretary, MSME informed that ODOP stamp of the same district will be available in the postal department of every district. ODOP postage stamp will also be used for government work. For this, instructions will be issued to the officers soon.
โThis innovative experiment will lead to the branding of ODOP on the one hand. On the other hand, ODOP artisans will also get its benefit. Along with this, UP will also be branded at the national and international level,โ he added.
Punch line written ‘UP ka Hunar, Ab aapke ghar’
Navneet Sehgal said that this envelope issued by the Department of Posts has been made very attractive. The main part of this designer envelope has the photograph and name of the ODOP of the district concerned. Along with this, the punch line ‘UP Ka Hunar, Ab Aapke Ghar’ has also been written below. Apart from this, information about that product has been given in Hindi and English on the back side. This designer envelope can also be used in weddings, weddings or other events.
