Lucknow, July 25: The Yogi government has rapidly controlled the second wave of corona infection in Uttar Pradesh. In the state with a population of 250 million, the pace of testing was not allowed to stop in the midst of decreasing Covid-19 cases. In the last 24 hours, 43 fresh cases have been registered across the state.
A spokesman of the state government said that the process of testing is underway at a rapid pace from villages to cities of Uttar Pradesh. As a result, the most populous state has achieved the title of doing maximum number of tests in less time.
βSo far, a total of 6,40,50,235 tests have been conducted in the state, while more than 2 lakh 50 thousand tests are being done daily. Keeping in mind the possible arrival of the third wave, the process of vaccination is being accelerated in the state. So far more than four crore 45 lakh vaccinations have been done in UP,β he added.
The spokesman said that the corona-free districts are giving testimony of the decreasing cases of corona infection in the state. There is not a single corona patient in Aligarh, Balrampur, Basti, Etah, Fatehpur, Hathras, Mahoba, Shravasti districts today. These districts are corona free today. In 43 districts of the state, the number of Covid patients has been registered in unit digits, while in no district; cases of infection have been registered in double digits.
He confirmed in the last 24 hours, 2, 50,406 samples were tested in which corona infection was confirmed in only 43 samples. The state’s positivity rate was 0.02 percent.
Less than one thousand active cases in UP
He said that while the situation in Uttar Pradesh is showing signs of improvement with every passing day, the havoc of infection is still continuing in relatively less populated states like Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Delhi. The positivity rate is not decreasing. Thousands of active cases of corona infection are being registered in these states. Apart from this, now the active cases of corona infection in UP have come down from 1000 to 868. At the same time, there are 93,479 active cases in Maharashtra with a population of 12 crores.
UP’s recovery rate increased rapidly
According to a government spokesperson, the recovery rate of UP was 74.1 percent with 03 lakh 10 thousand 783 corona patients on April 30. If we compare the latest situation from this peak period of Corona period, the recovery rate has gone up to 98.6 percent in just two and a half months.
βIf the data is to be testified, on April 30, out of every 100 samples, 14.1 percent samples were found positive, but according to the updated status, the positivity rate has come down to just 0.02 percent. The positivity rate i.e. the number of positive people found in the people tested is an important indicator to show that the second wave of corona wave is now under control in UP,β he told.
