Pratapgarh, 1 September: A government school headmaster was fired here 13 years after joining the service when his educational credentials were discovered to be forged. Instructions have also been given to reclaim his wages and file a fraud case against him.

Rohit Kumar Yadav, a headmaster at the Ahibaranpur primary school in Kunda tehsil, was fired, according to Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) Bhupendra Singh, because he had bogus BSc and BEd degrees. Singh stated that Rajnath Yadav, a Prayagraj resident, claimed in a complaint to the Additional Director of the Basic Education Department on February 17 last year that Yadav’s degrees were forged.

The degrees were authenticated by Lucknow University. He stated that after being served with a notice in this instance, Yadav wanted a new probe. According to Singh, the new inquiry revealed that the degrees were bogus.
