Bahraich, 26 July: Officials claimed on Wednesday that the headmaster of a government primary school in the Visheshwarganj region here had been suspended for allegedly intoxicated and engaging in indecent actions in front of kids.
Durga Prasad Jaiswal, a teacher at Shivpur Bairagi Primary School in Visheshwarganj block, is spotted sleeping nude in class while drunk, much to the chagrin of the children.
According to authorities, the truth of the viral video has yet to be determined. Parents and local people were outraged when Jaiswal was accused of performing immoral activities in front of the youngsters.
They claim that the headmaster removes his clothes and relaxes in class. The girl pupils have stopped attending school because they are embarrassed by these actions, they claim.
In response to the allegation, the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) ordered an investigation by the block education officer, following which Jaiswal was suspended. “We received a complaint that Durga Prasad Jaiswal, primary school teacher and headmaster at Shivpur Bairagi Basik School in Visheshwarganj block, comes to school drunk. A video of the incident has also just surfaced. The footage, however, has yet to be authenticated. On the basis of a preliminary inquiry conducted by the block education officer, he was suspended on July 24,” BSA Avyakt Ram Tiwari said.
“A departmental investigation is underway. An FIR will be filed against the headmaster if required, according to the BSA.
