UP: Security of monasteries-temples beefed up after Gorakhnath temple attack

LUCKNOW, 04 APRIL: After the incident of attack on the security personnel of the Gorakhnath temple, the highest bench of the Nath sect, the security of all the monasteries and temples in Uttar Pradesh has been increased. The movement of people is being monitored through CCTV cameras.

Ahmed Murtaza Abbas, the accused who attacked the PAC constables posted in the security of Gorakhpur temple, has been arrested.

Based on the evidence obtained from him, it is coming to the fore that there may be a terrorist conspiracy behind this. After this, the joint team of UP ATS and STF started a thorough investigation.

At the same time, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar said that based on the evidence, it could be a terrorist conspiracy. If the matter is high profile, the help of other security investigation agencies is also being taken. Simultaneously, the security of monasteries, ancient buildings and buildings established in Varanasi, Ayodhya, Mathura and other districts of the state has been increased.

Based on the evidence found from the accused Ahmed Murtaza, it is also coming to the fore that his other three accomplices are absconding. Raids are being conducted in the districts of Gorakhpur, Deoria, Shravasti, Sant Kabirnagar and border areas of Nepal in search of them. The vehicles coming and going by sealing the borders are also being monitored.
