Lucknow, 18 Dec: A 9-day foreign tour to pitch for investment ahead of the Global Investor Summit in February 2023, comprising Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, Public Works Minister Jitin Prasad and officials returned to Uttar Pradesh after inviting entrepreneurs and companies from Germany, Belgium, and Sweden, signing MoUs and investment proposals worth thousands of crores.
Ministers are excited by the positive and vigorous response of investors from all three countries. Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi claimed that the Global Investors Summit-2023 will prove to be a great festival of prosperity.
There will be a befitting reply to every question of the opposition raising questions when major investors from developed countries like Germany, Belgium, and Sweden will step into Uttar Pradesh through UPGIS-2023. With thousands of crores of investment and employment generation in Uttar Pradesh, we will partner in the state’s economic strength, progress, and development,? he said.
Pharmaceutical, business development, investment, capital market, vehicle motor industry, technology, R&D, telecom, and food processing, and initiatives related to the defense sector from developed countries like Germany, Belgium, and Sweden will come to Uttar Pradesh through Global Investors Summit.
With the cooperation and participation of the world’s prestigious companies, the industrial and economic progress of Uttar Pradesh will become robust, inclusive, and self-reliant. German investors have shown interest in investing in various sectors.
Minister Nandi said that Samson, Continental AG in Germany, important companies like Innoplexus AG, Jack Technologies, and GmbH have been invited to invest in Uttar Pradesh. German investors have shown interest in investing in UP in logistics, textile, healthcare, pharma, tourism, automotive, etc.
Ministers visited Motherson Group, an company in the mobility sector in Frankfurt, Germany, and invited for investment and development in Uttar Pradesh. Met the CEO of Samson AG, a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial valves, regulators, and a more than 100 years old company, and invited them to invest in Uttar Pradesh.
Belgian investors are also ready to invest in electric vehicles, solid waste management, textiles and apparel, food processing, etc. They have been invited to invest in Uttar Pradesh. Belgium’s Gemini Corporation will set up a plastic recycling plant in Varanasi at Rs 200 crore. Belgian Beverages have also been invited to set up distilleries, beverage, and wine industries. Waste management was discussed with Belgium’s leading company Simpet Technologies. Environmental pollution and waste management are global challenges in modern technology. Waste management without harming the environment is essential in such a situation.
Sweden’s IKEA will invest ?4000 crore Sweden’s IKEA has expressed a desire to invest Rs 4000 crore to open retail stores and malls in Uttar Pradesh. The company has been invited to participate in the Global Investors Summit 2023. Sweden’s arms manufacturing company Saab has expressed its desire to set up a weapons manufacturing plant in Uttar Pradesh. Proposals for large-scale investment were received in many sectors.
