Lucknow, 27 February: So far, 78 new cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) have been reported in the last twenty four hours across the state of Uttar Pradesh.
However, during the same period 115 patients were discharged after they were declared healthy. At the same time, the rate of recovery from corona has now reached to 98.20 percent.
Additional Chief Secretary Information Navneet Sehgal said on Saturday that a total of 1, 17,537 samples were tested in a day across the state. At the same time, a total of 3, 11, 71,541 swab samples have been screened. So far, 5, 92,556 people have recovered and discharged after getting treated from killer disease Covid-19.
He said that 15,28,64,993 population of 3,14,81,049 houses have been surveyed through 5,11,880 team days in 1,85,630 areas through surveillance team in the state.
Sehgal said that the Chief Minister has given instructions that the test of Covid-19 should be increased from 1.20 lakh to 1.80 lakh per day. Due to increasing infection in other states, Covid-19 test is being done for people coming from those states to Uttar Pradesh and after the test; the protocol of Covid-19 is also being followed.
16.64 lakh health workers – front line workers vaccinated
Additional Chief Secretary informed that the work of administering Covid vaccination to 16.64 lakh health workers and front line workers has been done in the state.
However, the new system of vaccination is being implemented from March 01. The Chief Minister has given instructions to inform the people for the vaccine a day in advance, so that the concerned personnel can reach timely for the vaccination.
Apart from this, the Covid situation should be reviewed daily through the Integrated Command and Control Center by the District Magistrates (DMs).
