Dehradun, 07 November: The Uttar Pradesh government will spend one crore for the development of an ancient Radha Krishna temple in Lucknow under the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC). In this regard, a letter has been sent to BKTC on behalf of Uttar Pradesh Tourism.

BKTC President Ajendra Ajay has expressed his gratitude to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for supporting the development of Radha Krishna Temple.

There is an ancient Radha-Krishna temple and buildings etc. owned by BKTC at Aminabad in Lucknow. They have reached a dilapidated state due to lack of proper maintenance over the years. Last year, BKTC president Ajendra Ajay had met UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and requested his help in this regard.

In this process, Ajendra also had a telephone conversation with UP Additional Chief Secretary (Tourism) Mukesh Meshram.

As per the request of the BKTC Chairman, officials of the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department visited the temple in Lucknow and wrote a letter to the BKTC informing that a sum of one crore rupees has been approved for the development of passenger facilities. The Uttar Pradesh government will construct a passenger hall and a rest house on the first floor of the passenger hall in terms of passenger facilities. Apart from this, the facilities of toilets, drinking water and benches etc. will also be provided for the passengers.

Uttar Pradesh Government has created the UP State Tourism Development Corporation Limited as a functional organization for the construction works. On behalf of UP Tourism, before preparing the yard for these works, the records of land ownership, consent letter and no-objection certificate have been requested from BKTC.
