Update: CM Yogi: Zero-tolerance on corruption and laxity in development works

GHAZIABAD, 27th August: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while visiting Ghaziabad district on Saturday inspected 04 under-construction projects. While he asked to speed up the pace of development, he also warned that strict action would be taken against him if he lapsed or compromised with the quality of development works.

Along with this, he also boosted the morale of the officers doing good work. If any officer is negligent in this, then action will be taken against him. Yogi also did not forget to give this message that work should be done for the upliftment of all sections of the people without any discrimination.

Chief Minister Yogi said that the aim of the government is that the ray of development reaches the person sitting at the last end. If there is any problem in the district, then file a complaint on the Chief Minister’s helpline.

Chief Minister Yogi first inspected the construction work of 720 EWS buildings under construction under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban being prepared by Development Authority Ghaziabad in Pratap Vihar Ghaziabad. Which are being built at a cost of 3856.19 lakhs. The date of commencement of work of these houses was October 20, 2020 and the date of completion of work has been kept as June 30, 2023.

After this, the Chief Minister inspected the construction work of a new bridge on the Hindon river. The construction work of this bridge is being done by Ghaziabad Development Authority from Setu Corporation. After the crack in the historic bridge, a new bridge is being built by breaking it. The width of this bridge will be about 11 meters. While its length will be 176 meters. The authority will spend Rs 22 crore on the construction of the bridge. With the construction of this bridge, three lakh people coming to Delhi from Mohannagar via GT Road from Ghaziabad will benefit.

Inspected the garbage disposal plant operated on PPP mode by the Municipal Corporation located in Hindon Vihar of Yogi Nand village. The purpose of the plant is to remove the waste in different types and dispose of it. He encouraged the employees working in the plant and motivated them.

The Chief Minister also saw plastic tourism, compost prepared from garbage here. Met the children at the Regi Bal Gopal Center built here, also interacted with the workers.

He praised the efforts of the Municipal Corporation. On this occasion, he said that taking inspiration from this, such plants should be established at other places also.

The Chief Minister reached the 41st Corps PAC Vaishali from here, where he inspected the barracks being built for the soldiers. There is also a mess in this barrack building along with accommodation for 200 soldiers. The construction work of 12 storey barrack building is being done by the Public Works Department. The date of commencement of work has been kept as October 06, 2020 and the date of completion of work has been kept as October 05, 2022. 11 crore 68 lakh 64 thousand will be spent in this entire project.

During the visit of Chief Minister Yogi, Union Minister of State Dr. General VK Singh, Minister of Uttar Pradesh Government Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, Minister of State Independent Charge, Government of Uttar Pradesh Narendra Kashyap, MP Rajya Sabha Dr. Anil Agarwal, MLAs Atul Garg, Manju Shivach, Sunil Sharma , Ajit Pal Tyagi, Nand Kishore Gurjar, Dinesh Goyal, Mayor Asha Sharma, IG Meerut Division Praveen Kumar, District Magistrate Rakesh Kumar Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Muniraj, Municipal Commissioner Mahendra Singh Tanwar and other senior officers of police and administration were present on the spot.
