New Delhi, 30 September: The Delhi government has cut the price of RT-PCR test for Covid-19 by two-thirds in private laboratories in the midst of the worsening corona epidemic in the National Capital.
After this deduction of the price, people of the state will now be able to get RT-PCR test for only Rs 800. However, this RT-PCR test was being done for Rs 2,400 before the reduced rate.
Earlier, the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had told via Twitter that instructions have been given to reduce the rate of RT-PCR test.
Although tests are being done free of cost in government establishments, this will help those conducting tests in private laboratories.
After the Delhi government’s decision, two-thirds have been cut. Now there will be a test for only Rs 800. Till now RT-PCR test was being done in Rs 2400.
Apart from this, if the sample of RT-PCR test is collected at home, then one has to pay 1200 rupees additional.
It is noteworthy that in Delhi, the positivity rate remained below 8 percent for the second consecutive day on Sunday. In Delhi, the recovery rate reached 92.2 percent, while active patients remained at 6.19 percent.
Meanwhile, the death rate is 1.6 percent. So far, Corona has had a total of 62, 37,395 tests in Delhi. In the last 24 hours, 64186 people have been diagnosed.
