Silkyara, 28 November: Out of 41 workers trapped in the under construction tunnel of Silkyara in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, 19 workers have now been rescued. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was seen talking to the workers.
He greatly appreciated the morale and courage of the workers and personnel engaged in the rescue operation.
Union Minister of State General VK Singh (Retd) is also present with him. The relatives of the workers being evacuated are also present in the tunnel.
Officials involved in the rescue operation confirmed this and said that now the initial health training of the workers taken out of the tunnel is being done in the temporary medical facility built in the tunnel.
As part of the rescue operation being carried out to rescue 41 workers trapped in the under construction tunnel of Silkyara in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, the drilling and pipe pushing work was completed in the afternoon on Tuesday 17th. After this, workers started being taken out from inside the tunnel from eight o’clock in the evening.
It is noteworthy that on November 12, Silkyara was trapped due to falling debris in the under-construction tunnel.
