Lucknow, January 16: The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC) on Thursday restored operations metro trains in the capital Lucknow by removing the technical glitch in just four minutes.
UPMRC Public Relations Officer Pushpa Bellani said that due to rain in Lucknow, tripping occurred in ‘OHE insulator’ on Thursday. Therefore, the operation of the metro train between Alambagh to Transport Nagar was interrupted, but UPMRC restored the operations by removing the technical problem in just four minutes.
She informed that the movement of metro trains was regulated so that passengers do not face problems. Every third train from Munshi Pulia to Chaudhary Charan Singh (CCS) Airport metro station was diverted back from Alambagh. Due to this, trains between Munshi Pulia to Alambagh were getting passengers at an interval of six minutes. At the same time, metro trains were getting at 12-minute intervals to passengers from Alambagh to CCS Airport.
The public relations officer said that during the interruption of the operation of the metro, the passengers were regularly informed about the movement of trains and immediately adequate staff were employed to guide the platform. That is why the technical problem of the metro was fixed in a very short time.
