Mumbai. 09 August: Since the technology of “Geo-Polymer Technology” for filling potholes on the road is long-lasting, this technology will be used to fill potholes on Mumbai-Nashik Highway. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde inspected all the places where there are potholes or traffic jams and directed the concerned officials to fill the potholes immediately using “Leo Polymer Technology”, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde gave these instructions to the concerned officials here today.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today inspected the road from Kharegaon to Padgha, Talvali to Shahpur on Thane-Nashik Highway. To see the reasons for the jam on this road, the Chief Minister himself came down on the road and inspected the work being done in connection with filling the potholes on the road.
On this occasion, Thane Municipal Commissioner Saurabh Rao, MMRDA Commissioner Sanjay Mukherjee, Collector Ashok Shingare, Managing Director and Vice Chairman of MSRDC Anil Gaikwad, Superintendent of Police D. Swamy, Deputy Commissioner of Transport Vinay Kumar Rathod, Highway Security Superintendent of Police Mohan Dahikar, Deputy Commissioner of Police S. Executive Engineer Sunil Patil and other concerned officials were present.
Speaking to the media on this occasion, Chief Minister Shinde said that the Thane-Nashik distance is currently taking more time than usual. This situation has arisen due to stones on this road and movement of heavy vehicles here.
He said that a meeting of the concerned departments like Public Works Department, Maharashtra State Road Development Authority, MMRDA, Police etc. should be held and heavy vehicles should be parked in the parking lot and traffic should be started. Heavy vehicles will be released when the traffic slows down, such planning has been done. Similarly, regarding the vehicles coming from JNPT, the Collector, Police Commissioner and Superintendent of Police of all three districts of Raigad, Thane and Palghar have been instructed to make necessary arrangements regarding these vehicles.
He said, instructions have been given to focus on coordination of traffic regulation. CM Shinde said that no kind of construction material is left in the potholes that occur during the rainy season. Therefore, to fill these potholes, the engineers of SMC Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. have used a technology called “Geo-Polymer Technology”. It contains fiber. Heavy vehicles can also pass through here. The work of filling large patches on this highway with this technology is going on at a war footing. The work of filling potholes on the entire Thane-Nashik and Nashik-Thane road will be done with this technology. This method is sustainable. Due to which people will not have trouble with potholes during travel.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister thanked Suhas Mehta of SMC Infrastructure Private Limited and his team. He instructed the concerned to take criminal action against those who obstruct this work. He further said that this is a matter of lakhs of passengers. Whose road is this, who is building it, who is doing this work, it is not important, but everyone has to work as a team. And this work has to be completed.
