Lucknow, 13 Oct: Yogi Adityanath, chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, stated that retired teachers’ services should be used until new instructors are hired, and they should be paid a defined stipend.
“During the previous government’s tenure, secondary education colleges had become ‘hotbeds of cheating,'” the CM said as he handed out appointment letters to 219 principals chosen by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission as part of Mission Rozgar here on Friday.
Yogi said, the mafia of cheating obtained contracts to pass the children’s exams. However, great progress has been made in addressing this issue during the previous six years.”
The CM stated that principals constitute the “backbone” of educational institutions, saying, “If principals remain disciplined and promote new activities and innovations in colleges, then meaningful outcomes are achieved.”
Yogi went on to say that the Secondary Education Council’s high school and intermediate board examinations last year set a precedent for the rest of the country. Within 15 days, the council administered cheating-free tests to 56 lakh pupils and announced the results.
He underlined the need of principals making schools the center of innovative activity and engaging with parents. Along with the curriculum, pupils should be taught knowledge about the country, the globe, and government programs for the welfare of youth and women.
He claimed that this not only provides pupils with information but also promotes awareness, making the principal’s stay unforgettable.
The CM stated that this was the same Uttar Pradesh that had security lapses under past regimes. The state’s residents did not feel safe, and there was a general sense of lawlessness and instability. He claimed that violence and corruption were formerly commonplace here. Due to these circumstances, investors were fleeing the state.
“The state received investment proposals worth Rs 38 lakh crore through the Global Investors Summit after our government provided a safe environment. This will employ over one crore young people,” he claimed.
Yogi went on to say that the state government has been successful in giving government employment to six lakh youngsters in a fair and transparent way during the previous six years, including the hiring of 164,000 teachers.
According to the CM, UP is a spiritual and cultural heritage center. The state attracts the most spiritual visitors in the country, and this industry has seen substantial growth. Prior to 2017, just 1.5-2 crore visitors visited the state, but this figure has now risen to 30 crore tourists each year. With the presence of tourists in the state, several forms of jobs are established.
Yogi stated that if everyone works together, Uttar Pradesh may become the country’s top economy. He also stressed that the state is an educational hub. During the country’s independence, the state supplied teachers to several states.
“We will again have to make efforts in that direction and raise an army of disciplined and patriot citizens,” he went on to say.
