Kanpur, 27 January: North-westerly winds may stop due to anticyclone in the next three days due to which possibility of getting some relief from cold, also the temperature may also rise. A record minimum temperature of 4.0 degrees Celsius was recorded in Kanpur on Saturday.
Dr S.N. Sunil Pandey, meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, said that on Friday the maximum temperature was 17.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 7.0 degrees. While the maximum relative humidity was 97 percent and the minimum temperature was 56 percent. The wind blew at a speed of 2.6 per kilometer. The wind direction was north-west.
According to the weather forecast received from the India Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of rain due to clear sky for the next five days. There is a possibility of severe cold and dense fog in the morning and night and sunshine in the afternoon.
He said that the cyclonic circulation extends up to 1.5 km above the average level over Northeast Rajasthan. Another cyclonic circulation is over South Interior Karnataka. A trough from the cyclonic circulation over South Interior Karnataka extended through Telangana to the south coast of Odisha. Western disturbances are likely to affect the Western Himalayan region from January 27.
