Varanasi: SPG team takes stock of security arrangements in Varanasi ahead of PM Modi’s visit

Varanasi, 20 September (HS). The SPG team, which came to the city regarding security arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to Varanasi on September 23, held a meeting of Advanced Security Liaisoning (ASL) at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Babatpur. SPG officers gave necessary instructions in the meeting.

In the meeting at the airport, the SPG team took information about the point-wise security preparations as per the Blue Book and also tested it.

In the meeting, information was taken about the officers performing duty at the airport, apron and other important places on the day of Prime Minister Modi’s arrival.

On Wednesday, SPG officials also took information about the security at the venue and departmental preparations. The officers also inspected the Prime Minister’s arrival at Rajatalab Ganjari, the route for VIPs and common people, the distance from the stage to the gallery, etc.

The final rehearsal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security arrangements will take place on September 22. In the final rehearsal, there will be a fleet rehearsal with Prime Minister Modi’s dummy car from the airport to the venue.

There will be tight security arrangements during the rehearsal. Before this, army helicopters will practice touch and go.

On the other hand, BJP Kashi region unit has gathered with full strength to make Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed public meeting in Ganjari historic.

Under the leadership of Kashi region president Dilip Singh Patel, state, region, district and metropolitan officials, Morcha-Cell coordinators and co-coordinators have been entrusted with the responsibility of gathering the crowd.
