Noida, June 6: Officials claimed on Tuesday that a vendor was detained after a video circulated online apparently showing him spraying sewer water on coconuts. The video went viral on social media on Sunday, according to Anil Kumar Rajput, the in-charge of the nearby Bisrakh police station.
“The accused has been booked under Indian Penal Code section 270 (malignant act likely to spread infection of a disease dangerous to life),” he added.
According to authorities, accused Sameer (28) is from the Uttar Pradesh district of Bareilly. Sameer was allegedly seen in the video gathering water from a sewer and spraying it on coconuts stored on his cart.
